GET TO KNOW ME BETTER

WAIT, SO WHERE THE HECK DO YOU LIVE?

I like to call myself a “New York Nomad” (yes, I may have just made that up while I was typing this).

This crazy photo journey started in 2010 in my hometown of Pittsford, a suburb of Rochester, NY. I began primarily photographing seniors and families, which quickly grew into engagements, weddings, headshots, and more. In 2018 I moved to New York City and have been so fortunate to continue to build my business in the coolest city ever.

Since 2010 I have photographed more than 1,000 clients. Now I serve Rochester, NYC, and wherever sessions take me!

I HAVE A THING FOR PLANNING SOME
EPIC BUDGET TRIPS

If I’m not traveling the state for sessions, I’m probably planning my next little getaway.

Did you know it was possible to spend 4 days in Iceland for less than $1,000? Yeah, me neither! Colorado has a special place in my heart, I’m so excited to see more of Europe, and Australia is definitely on the bucket list.

Want to swoon over your favorite vacation destinations, trade travel tips, or plan a really cool adventure photo session? I’m your gal!

& head over to my print shop to check out my adventures!

I'M ACTUALLY A DOG WHISPERER

Just kidding, but if you bring your pup to a session, I can almost guarantee I'll get that classic doggy head tilt.

I always grew up with dogs, but when I was nine, my family brought a Newfoundland home and I became obsessed. These 150 pound, slobbery gentle giants have my heart (and I love my time with them when I visit my family), but they're definitely not meant for NYC apartments.

Introduce Millie. She radiates happiness, has never met a pigeon (or person) she doesn’t love, and makes even the toughest New Yorkers smile. She has captured the instagram community with her printer pounce and manhole potty breaks. Check her out @milliethecitydood or milliethecitydood.com.

I'M A PHOTOSHOP NERD

Like big time. I actually got into photoshop well before I even got my first DSLR camera.

I would find pictures online I wanted to duplicate and use my Mom's point and shoot Kodak camera. Then, I'd spend hours on end adding layers, texture, and manipulating the images. This taught me the ins and outs of editing and sparked my passion for photography.

When I say I can edit just about anything, I mean it. Frizzy hair? No problem. Wrinkly shirt? Easy. You name it, I've got you.

I truly believe in representing the natural vibrancy of the world and show that through my colorful and bright editing. I also recognize that some pictures might just look better in black and white or warm and moody, so I'll do that too! I want to capture and share your personalities and emotion in the best way possible.

YOU KNOW THOSE FAMILIES WHO
RUN 5Ks ON HOLIDAYS?

Yep, I grew up in one of those families (I wouldn't change it for the world). I'm not a great runner though—I prefer snow and water sports. I was on skis as soon as I could walk and learned at a young age that swimming was a perfect competitive outlet.

My fiancé and I actually met swimming in college. I guess we needed something to fill the void swimming left when we graduated because last year we decided to run our first marathon. Well... that, and we couldn't let my mom run a marathon before us.

Now, we have goal to run a half marathon in every state and we can't wait to explore the country!

I DABBLE IN VIDEOGRAPHY...

...and it's taken me to some pretty incredible places.

In 2017 I traveled to Nicaragua and documented the mission of Optometry Giving Sight. They provided hundreds of eye exams and glasses to underserved populations throughout the country.

The following year, I visited Malawi to share the story of Bwanali-Chipole Victory, a school and feeding program. For many, the breakfast, snack and lunch they receive is the only food they will eat all day.

I'm so thankful I was able to contribute even just the smallest bit by sharing and documenting these organization's stories and missions.

Looking for wedding videography? I'm happy to recommend my favorite videographers, or share the incredible work my sister has done.

I'M A WANNABE FOOD PHOTOGRAPHER

AKA I bake when I'm bored, then take pictures of my creations. Shout out to Half Baked Harvest's incredible recipes for keeping me busy during the 2020 quarantine.

I truly believe cheese and potatoes should be their own food groups, could eat breakfast for every meal, and always appreciate a good chocolate chip cookie. Honestly, I just love food.

One of the best parts of living in New York City is the opportunity to try so many incredible restaurants. Need some recommendations? I have a list for every type of cuisine!
